Due Date

Well today is supposed to be the day but we all know that doesn't always go the way we hope. Bryn is currently snug as a bug and only showing a few signs that she might make her appearance in the next couple of days. I started having faint contractions last night but they were not regular or severe. This morning I have had a few and the last one was pretty intense but nothing I couldn't handle.

It is very easy to become anxious as we await her arrival. I have been trying to keep myself busy over the past week by cleaning the house, going for a walk/marathon with Momma, crocheting, watching a million movies, and spending some time with my horse.

These last few weeks have definitely been the hardest and most uncomfortable of my pregnancy for lots of reasons but mostly because my emotions have been such a rollercoaster.

Sad:
  • because I am going to miss being pregnant
Worried:
  • because this experience is all new to us
  • because our lives our going to change in a BIG way
  • that we aren't ready (even though I know we are)
Excited:
  • to meet our little girl
  • to return to a "normal" body
  • to stop worrying about her (even though I know I will still worry but in a different way)
  • to feel a love unlike any other
  • to watch Brandt hold her for the first time
  • to introduce her to her Grandparents
  • to introduce her to EVERYONE
  • to feel complete :)
But mostly I am EXCITED and READY for Bryn to get here. :)

We keep moving our bags for the hospital closer to the front door because I am afraid Brandt might forget one of the bags.

At our weekly doctors visit on Friday I was only a fingertip dilated and not thinned at all. He told me to not be discouraged because any woman can go from 0-10 cm. in a few hours and that each time your uterus contracts you dilate more and more.

I am such a "planner" and I hate to be surprised so this whole process is torture! Now that things are finally rolling I am able to take a deep breath and know that she will be here soon.

The cats have been super helpful at keeping me content and comfortable. Bella made me laugh this morning.

I think she may be as excited as I am to meet her sister :)

We are so blessed to have so many family and friends that keep checking in on us to make sure that we are alright and share in this amazing part of our lives.  Thank you all for your love and support as we get ready to welcome Bryn Amanda Davis
